Our client is a leading commercial law firm, based in the heart of Crawley. They have weathered the last couple of years well, making commercial decisions and continuing to deal with a steady stream of work. They are poised, post recession, to start to strengthen departments again, and in line with client demand and increase in work, they are currently recruiting a commercial property lawyer. Working as part of the busy Commercial Property team, the role involves dealing with commercial leases, acting for landlords and tenants, 1954 Act procedures, acquisition and disposal of commercial properties, commercial development, corporate support and secured lending work. The role involves supporting the partners and managing a caseload of commercial property transactions, drafting and negotiating documentation and participating in business development. You will have direct contact with clients, and will have a caseload of existing work, but embrace the networking and marketing required to increase this workload. Great communication and presentation skills are a pre requisite to this role as are the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. The nature of work on offer lends itself to a qualified solicitor at around the 3 year post qualified level, but relevant experience is the essential element here, so if you feel you will be right for the role then do get in contact.
