Regulatory Lawyer - Brighton

This Brighton based regulator of the work based pension provision for the UK currently seeks a lawyer, on a two year fixed term contract, to support the regulator in designing regulatory response to changes in employer compliance and new and civil criminal powers coming in from 2012.The successful candidate will be responsible for providing public law advice to the project team tasked with designing and delivering the new Employer Compliance Regime. Working within a small team you will be responsible for providing advice on:

Interpretation of novel legislative provisions under Pensions Act 2008 to the project teams producing operational policy.

Clearance of new and revised industry and stakeholder guidance and outbound communication products

Parallel and related regimes for regulation of personal pensions and enforcement of individual rights

DPA and FOIA advice including assiting with the development of business procedures for information handling.
